There are many types of exercises serving different health purposes, such as weightlifting and bodyweight practices (squats, planks, push-ups, etc.), which build strength of muscles and the overall body. While running, walking, and cycling help in maintaining heart rate and regularity of blood pressure and sugar level and are suitable for balanced physical health. Other activities, including stretching, yoga, and regular subtle exercises, help in staying active and relaxed and maintaining a flexible and healthy body. Choose at least two physical activities or exercises to perform daily according to your stamina and body requirements, whether you are a child, teenager, or mature adult in your 50s; it will make you fit and strong.
2. Play Sports: Make indoor and outdoor sports a part of your life whether you are good at it or not; it will make your body flexible and provide you with many mental and physical health benefits, along with boosting your strength and capabilities of performing well in various areas of life.
3. Meditation Practices: Meditation is the best way to stay calm and relax in this chaotic world where everyone is occupied with lots of responsibilities and has no time to take a rest and focus on mental health. Regular ten to fifteen minutes of meditation in the early morning and before bedtime can reduce stress, enhance positive thinking, provide self-realization, and improve mental health. Meditation has different kinds, such as sound bath meditation, visualization, candle gazing, spiritual meditation, etc., or just simply sitting with nature and practicing mindfulness. You can choose any kind of meditation according to your ease.
4. Balanced and Nutritious Diet: A nutritious and balanced diet is essential for every living being. Taking a proper nutritious meal on time is very crucial; one must include proteins, carbs, minerals, and vitamins in his regular diet in a balanced quantity, make a habit of eating fruits and veggies and must avoid regularly eating junk food, sugary treats, and unhealthy foods from restaurants. I know it is somewhat difficult to follow a healthy diet plan as no one can easily ignore the cravings of these unhealthy foods; the solution is to set a target limit of eating oily, sugary, and junk food per week, eliminate or reduce the sugar from daily intakes such as coffee, tea, milkshakes, etc., prepare yummy meals at home with less oil, and by replacing unhealthy ingredients with healthy ones, it will gradually reduce the cravings, and you will be more inclined towards the healthy diet plan. Walk regularly after having a dinner to ensure effective digestion before sleep. Also, one must avoid overeating and irregular meal times because it badly affects your metabolism.
5. Disciplined Lifestyle: A disciplined lifestyle ensures a contented life. Irregular patterns of eating, sleeping, and working lead to stress and anxiety issues, resulting in deteriorating mental health. When you create a schedule of your daily routine and strictly implement it, it reduces the high time pressure of work, which helps you learn various qualities like time management and a positive mindset and attitude towards the problems.
6. Ensure Adequate Sleep: An adequate and timely sleep is crucial for the rest of the mind and body. At least 8 hours of nighttime sleep is required to improve mental and physical health. One must avoid every kind of distraction and negative energies after 9 pm, have your meal early till 7 pm, meditate before sleep, or read a good book; it will help you avoid disruptive thoughts and help to have a sound sleep.
